He’s currently around 31 lbs and is neutered.  He is just over 2 yrs old.  He's available to an approved home only, and is located in the Chicago area. UPDATED OCT 2026

From his owner:
 

Personality-wise, he’s a very sweet, loving dog, but also quite sensitive and anxious, especially around unfamiliar dogs and cats. He can be reactive in busy, overstimulating environments.
 

At home, though, he’s surprisingly low-energy. He spends most of his day sleeping, occasionally asking to play or do something fun. We’ve done a lot of obedience training and nose work with him, and he absolutely loves learning tricks, solving puzzles, and doing activities that engage his brain. But if nothing is going on, he’s perfectly happy just sleeping on the couch.

I’d say his biggest challenge is that he reaches his anxiety threshold very quickly. Loud noises, unfamiliar situations, changes in routine, and overstimulating environments can be difficult for him. We’ve worked quite a bit on his reactivity, but he’s naturally a sensitive dog, and I think he’ll always need someone who understands that.
 

We’re also not entirely sure how he is around young children. He hasn’t had much exposure to them, and I’ve noticed that he sometimes tries to herd runners, so I imagine he might show similar behavior around running or playing kids.
 

On the positive side, he’s a wonderful companion for outdoor adventures! We’ve taken him hiking and exploring in many different places, and he really enjoys being outdoors, especially in quieter, more natural environments."
